It’s been a very busy spring for us here at Reinford Landscapes. We’ve completed some really neat projects this year and are excited to share some of the pics from these jobs. For this project we were able to utilize a lot of the services that we provide. There were retaining walls, entrance columns and wingwalls, custom paver borders, plantings, grading, reseeding and more. Take a look at the finished product!

Check out the before picture of these walls from the April post

A small dry stream bed adds interest to this bed and makes a practical way to deal with the water that needs to flow throught this drainage culvert during heavy rains.

Don’t be afraid to spice up your entrance way with a paver border, columns, wing walls, mailbox pier or a combination of all these features. It will add a touch of class to your property you can’t get any other way.

Just a simple daylily can add such grace and elegance to your hardscape

Poolsides!
We had a great time bringing new life to this pool area. This beautiful, secluded setting near Mt Holly, Pa was so much fun to work at. It’s always amazing what a few pavers and seating walls can do to increase the usefulness of a pool side. And lights….can’t forget about the lights! We also added low voltage lighting to accent key areas of the stonework.

Getting started

A properly excavated and compacted paver base is key to a long lasting patio installation.

Installing the drainage for water runoff on the patio.

These piers and steps make a grand entrance to the pool side.

Curved seating walls fit so nicely in a setting like this.

Notice the Integral lights under the step treads

Stay tuned for more pics as we put the finishing touches on this pool landscape!

Plantings compliment the Hardscape
We were excited to have completed the first phase of a project in the Carlisle area. Since we had a fairly open winter- not much snow- we able to sneak in between the cold snaps to build the retaining walls at the end of this house. These Anchor Highland Walls helped us manage the slope better and prepare it for the plantings this spring. The entrance columns and wing walls were added to help compliment the house as well as accent the entrance way to this beautiful residence. The paver border at the entrance to the driveway was a unique addition. We are excited for spring to make itself a little more apparent so we can ‘dig in’ to the planting phase of this project. The plantscapes will help soften this stone work and make it flow together with the rest of the landscape.

We are very excited to have our website up and running!
As many of you may have noticed, our ‘coming soon’ page has finally been replaced with a great website that we can actually be proud of. The whole process of creating a presence on the world wide web has become a real learning experience. One thing that has been made very clear to us is the boundless possibilities of the internet. But anyway, I would like to specifically thank two companies that played a major role in getting us up on line! With out them we would probably still be ‘coming soon’ ! Kirbtech LLC is a computer sales and tech support company. Kirby has a wealth of knowledge on what I I’ve pretty much concluded to be anything computer related. His technical tips and tidbits were invaluable. If you need assistance with setting up a complex company network to simply purchasing a home computer for the kids, Kirbtech can help you out. They offer creative solutions to your problems at very competitive cost. The other company that I would like to rave about for just a bit is Cross and Crown Productions. I ran across them while surfing the web for ideas on websites. Wow, these guys are like a breath of fresh air! Proffesional, knowlegeable, creative and efficient. They walked through our web project with confidence that I could tell was backed with experience. I had a great time working with them through the design phases and was able to give my feedback - even if it called for changes - with out fealing any resentment. The other selling point for Cross and Crowns services is their competative pricing. This gives their work exceptional value. Check these guys out if you need any type of marketing suggestions, they are full of ideas! Being able have a great relationship with reputable companies like Kirbtech and Cross and Crown will help give us the ability serve our customers even better. Thanks Guys!

A great yard begins with a great design.
Many factors must be considered when designing a landscape. A landscape design needs to be a logical solution to your yard’s special characteristics, your personal vision and your budget. We will discuss ideas on how to make your landscape reflect your tastes and personality, how to make it accommodate the activities you and your family want to pursue in the garden and how to make it complement the architecture of your home. With this information, we create a design that integrates your ideas and goals, developing them into a specialized outdoor environment. A functional and innovative plan is the best way to help you visualize and understand your project completely.
